Nio

Nio is a 3-year-old Thoroughbred gelding with a calm, steady disposition and outstanding trainability. Originally intended for the racetrack, it was quickly determined that racing was not his calling—however, his temperament and movement make him an exceptional prospect for sport or pleasure disciplines.

He is currently schooling at the walk, trot, and canter under saddle and has been introduced to small fences and light fill. He shows three comfortable, balanced gaits and works willingly in a snaffle. Nio has even offered natural lead changes, demonstrating athleticism and body awareness well beyond his age.

In June, Nio accompanied a show outing and confidently hacked around a busy schooling ring with no tension—even as fireworks went off nearby. He is uncomplicated to handle on the ground, turns out well with others, and displays an affectionate, cooperative attitude.
